About Hadimba Temple – Manali
Hadimba Temple Manali is one of the most famous spiritual and cultural attractions in Himachal Pradesh. Tall deodar trees surround this historic temple near the town centre. Its wooden architecture, peaceful forest setting and link with the Mahabharata attract visitors throughout the year.
People also call it Hadimba Devi Temple, Hidimba Temple and Dhungri Temple. Devotees worship Goddess Hadimba here. Hindu tradition connects her with Bhima from the Mahabharata.
The temple stands apart from many other Himalayan shrines. Its multi-tiered pagoda-style roof immediately catches the eye. Beautiful wooden carvings add to its traditional character. Moreover, the cedar forest around it creates a calm atmosphere.
